Benjamin "Ben" Jonathan Kirschbaum

Benjamin "Ben" Jonathan Kirschbaum, age 43, was born on June 27, 1981, in Spartanburg, SC, he passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, in Spartanburg. Throughout his life, Ben was known for his unwavering passion for the Word of God and his commitment to helping those in need. Affectionately referred to as "Pastor Ben," he had an impressive knowledge of scripture and was always ready to stop and pray for anyone he encountered who was in need.

Ben had a deep love for people, treating every friend as "family"...calling them a sister, brother, Mama, aunt, or uncle. He brought warmth and compassion into the lives of those around him. Ben was an avid sports fan. He particularly loved football, and the family favorite, the Chicago Bears. Another love was for professional wrestling, with "Sting" being his favorite wrestler. 

Ben's family includes his devoted parents, William F. Kirschbaum, III and Nina F. Kirschbaum, both of Spartanburg, SC. He is survived by his sisters, Kimberly K. Broadhead and her husband, Donald H., and Kristina K. Roach and her husband, H. William, also of Spartanburg; and his brother, William F. Kirschbaum, IV, of Atlanta, GA. He is survived by his nephews, Isaac Acosta and family of Fort Worth, TX, Parker Roach of Boiling Springs, SC, Austin Roach of Buda, TX, and Zachari Roach of Boiling Springs, SC. Ben will be dearly missed by his beloved best friend, Tiffany Tyner, of Spartanburg.

A Visitation to celebrate Ben's life will be held on September 17, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, both taking place at Hope Church - Spartanburg, located at 102 John Dodd Rd, Spartanburg, SC, 29303 with Pastor Rich Butler officiating the service.

Benjamin "Ben" Jonathan Kirschbaum's spirit and kindness will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
