Barbara Niles

Barbara Ann Rowland Niles, 75, of 2351 Hanging Rock Road, died Thursday, November 12, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born January 7, 1934, in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret Manson Rowland. She was a retired office manager with Hertz Corporation. Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Alton Floyd Niles; a son, Jonathan B. Niles and his wife Gail of Boiling Springs; two daughters, Patricia C. Devendorf and her husband Terry of Boiling Springs, and Kimberly A. Hansen and her husband Tim of Danbury, CT; two sisters, Lois Schietinger of East Haven, CT, and Sally Cavey of Florida; a brother, Richard Schietinger; grandchildren, Pete Lounsbury, Jonathan A. Niles, Robert and Kenneth Laskowski, Brandon and Erin Hansen; and great-grandchildren, Evan, Kristen, Brianna, Jayden, and Tia. Visitation will be 2:30-3:45 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by Chaplain Erin Miller.
