Barbara Thomas Mack, 76, of Spartanburg, died Friday, April 10, 2009, at Spring Arbor. Born September 16, 1932, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Langdon and Hester Holmes Thomas and the wife of 55 years to the late Jarrett David Mack. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Susan Mack Harman and her husband Doug, Kathryn Mack DuBeau and her husband Mike, all of Spartanburg, and Judy Mack Brinkley of Sarasota, FL; four grandsons, David Eswine of Spartanburg, Mack Harman of Columbia, Steven Harman and his wife Bailey of Concord, NC, and Michael Brinkley and his wife Kristan of Destin, FL; four granddaughters, Amy DuBeau Wood of Cochran, GA, Laura DuBeau Sanchez and her husband Raul of Centerville, VA, Meredith Brinkley of Atlanta, GA, and Mallory Brinkley of Sarasota, FL; a great-grandson, Dawson Eswine; two great-granddaughters, Brooke and River Wood; and a sister, June Thomas Pettigrew of Charlotte, NC. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in the Church Parlor of Bethel United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Wallace Fridy Chapel at the Church conducted by the Rev. David B. Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church Child Enrichment Center, 245 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306; or to Lutheran Hospice, 218-A Trade Street, Greer, SC 29651.
