Barbara Heatherly

Barbara Jean Heatherly, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, November 28, 2016, at Summit Hills Assisted Living. Born July 4, 1933, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Azalee Elliott and widow of Fred Donald Heatherly, Sr. Mrs. Heatherly loved her Lord and family. She was a great cook who was devoted especially to spoiling her two granddaughters. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and first worked as a clerk for the Building Inspection Department retiring as a sign ordinance inspector with the City of Spartanburg. Surviving are her son, Don Heatherly (Susan) of Duncan, SC; granddaughters, Kelly Stafford (Travis) of Charleston, SC and Kristen Sullivan (Ben) of Roswell, GA; and great-grandsons, Tyler Sullivan and Jacob Sullivan. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 PM Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Glenn Rusher and the Rev. Lane Bembenek.
