Barbara Lou Walker Estep, 89, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at White Oak Estates. Born July 14, 1931 in Clearwater, FL, she was the daughter of the late Gill Pete and Wilma Lois Dalton Walker and the widow of Grant E. Estep, after 65 years of marriage. Barbara moved to Spartanburg, SC in 2002 from Largo, Florida where she was a former President of the PTA, volunteered with the Largo Police Department regarding Public Relations in Schools, and a columnist with the Largo Leader "Barb's Babble." While in Spartanburg, she was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, and the Upper Room Sunday School class, and most recently, First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her two sons, Tom E. Estep (Loretta) of Carrollton, VA, Neal E. Estep (Carolyn) of Waxhaw, NC; her daughter Janet Estep Kuntz (Jeff) of Spartanburg, SC; five grandchildren, Todd A. Estep and Michelle N. Estep of Chesterfield, VA, J. Elliot Estep of Waxhaw, NC, Andrew N. Estep (Olivia) of Charlotte, NC, John R. Kuntz of Spartanburg, SC; two great-grandchildren, Owen and Hudson Estep of Charlotte, NC; her brothers, Arnold G. Walker (Cathy) and Douglas N. Walker (Judy) of Montoursville, PA; five nieces and one nephew. She was also predeceased by a grandson, Jacob E. Kuntz. Burial will be privately held.
