Barbara Curcio

Barbara Hammitt Curcio, 64, of Spartanburg, died Friday, December 27, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born November 18, 1949, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late William A. Hammitt and Mary "Madeline" Roland Hammett and the widow of Thomas Lawrence Curcio. She was self-employed and was a member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church. Survivors include sons, Thomas Ian Curcio of Greenville, SC, Michael Seth Curcio of San Francisco, CA, and Brandon Christopher Curcio of Hendersonville, KY; daughter, Kimberly Ann Kapadia of Moore, SC; brother, William L. "Buddy" Hammitt of Columbia, SC; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and stepfather, Maynard "Rabbit" Hammett of Gaffney, SC. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church, 4455 Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM at the church, conducted by the Rev. Asheton Amerson. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you make a donation in the memory of Barbara H.
