Barbara Bailey

Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Bailey, 76, of Whitney, SC, died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at White Oak Manor-Spartanburg. Born May 27, 1938, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late James Ernest and Nellie Roberts Bailey. Bobbie was a member of Davis Memorial Baptist Church where she played the piano for many, many years. She was formerly employed with Whitney Laundromat and the Goody Shop Restaurant. Surviving are her brothers, John Bailey of Spartanburg, SC and Paul R. Bailey of Florida; and a sister, Betty Bridgeman of Conway, SC. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, May 1, 2015, in Whitney Community Cemetery, 847 Iron Ore Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303, by the Rev. Carlton Hames.
