Burton Wayne Humphries, 55, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at his home. Born August 26, 1954, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Burton Almarine and Hazel Beatrice Hedden Humphries. He was the head of all machine operators at General Electric, a former member of Ben Avon Baptist Church, a member of the National Rifle Association, a coin collector, and an avid NASCAR fan. Survivors include a daughter, Christie Bradburn and husband Frank, a step-daughter, Dana Lawson, a granddaughter, Holly Bradburn, a grandson, Blake Bradburn, and two sisters, Denise Lynch and Linda Crocker, all of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2009, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Tim Hackett.
