Ava Glass

Nell Collins Glass "Granny", 95, of Pacolet Mills, SC, died Thursday, November 30, 2017, at The Inverness at Spartanburg. Born December 27, 1921, in Roda, VA, she was the daughter of the late Brownloe and Clemie Lee Richards Collins and widow of Bascom Earl Glass. Nell was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. She enjoyed baking for family and friends, loved crafts, and also liked to travel. She was a member of Pacolet Presbyterian Church and retired from Hoechst Fibers. Survivors include her daughters, Selena Cash of Forest City, NC and Judy Brackins of Pacolet, SC; four grandchildren, Mike Cash (Rita), Debbie Connor (Charlie), Karen Holubek (Mike), and Mandy Rochester (Brian); nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be 3:00-3:45 PM Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372 with funeral services following at 4:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Mike Cash. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. Following the service, the family will be at the home of Judy Brackins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 516 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
