Audrey Stober

Audrey Hanson Stober, 85, died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at home. Born November 28, 1931, in Heron Lake, MN, she was the daughter of the late Marion Vernon and Elsie Morrison Hanson. Duane "Doc" Austin Stober, 89, died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at home. Born May 30, 1927, in Hardy, IA, he was the son of the late Claude and Andrea Madison Stober. Mr. & Mrs. Stober were members of St. James United Methodist Church. Mrs. Stober started the Home Economics program at the Charles Lea Center and served as an educator for many years. Mr. Stober retired from Wofford College as Athletic Trainer having started the athletic training program at USC-Upstate. Survivors include their daughter, Becky S. Burnett (Bobby) of Spartanburg, SC; sons, Randy Stober (Kim) of Columbia, SC and Mike Stober of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and Audrey's sister, Marilyn Doherty of Encinitas, CA. Visitation will be 11:00-11:45 AM Thursday, March 30, 2017, at St. James United Methodist Church, 213 N. Lanford Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301. A service honoring their memory will follow at 12:00 noon, at the church, conducted by the Rev. J.
