Audrey C. Plemmons, age 92, and lovingly known as "Mom Mom" to her family, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on May 29, 2024, in Stanley, NC. She was born June 27, 1931, in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Audrey's life was a testament to unconditional love and joy. She was always seen with a smile on her face and had a special affinity for babies, finding pure joy in holding them close. Audrey's presence radiated warmth, and her love for others was truly boundless.
One of Audrey's greatest passions was singing in the choir for over 40 years at Saxon Baptist Church. Aside from music, Audrey also enjoyed indulging in soap operas; her family knew better than to disturb her when "her stories" were on TV. Audrey was famous with the family for her "mac-n-cheese" and "chicken & dumplings".
Audrey is survived by her loving children: Danny Plemmons (Judy) of Burke, VA; Cindy Swann (Tinsley) of Lincolnton, NC; Mitchell Plemmons (Janet) of Spartanburg, SC. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Jay Plemmons (Chrissy) of VA; Katie Inman (Charlie) of FL; Anna Dew (Derrick) of Spartanburg, SC; Abby Vinyard (Amber) of New Bern, NC; Andrea Rhyne (Josh) of Belmont, NC; Victor Romano (Monica) of Easley, SC; Derek Romano (Jean) of NV; Ryan Plemmons of Wellford, SC. Additionally, she is survived by six great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her best friend, Patsy Mason.
Audrey is predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas Garland Plemmons and her siblings Myrtle Byrum, Edna Lavender, Mary Ann Howell and Edward Cooper.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:15 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Services to honor Audrey's life will follow at 1:30 PM in Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel with burial in Good Shepherd Memorial Park. Presiding over the services will be Mr. John Byrum.
Audrey C. Plemmons' legacy of love and kindness will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched with her unwavering affection and grace.
