Audrey Billings Jr.

Audrey Ordess Billings "Junior", 78, of Spartanburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born May 16, 1937, in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Audrey O. Billings, Sr. and Nora Bell Simmons Billings and husband of the late Carrie Nell Haney Billings. Mr. Billings was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Buffalo, SC. He was a graduate of Cross Anchor High School and Columbia Trade School. Surviving are his children, Gerald Billings (Tammy) of Enoree, SC, Mark Billings (Carol) of Spartanburg, SC, and Lynn Meadows (Dennis) of Roebuck, SC; grandchildren, Ray Lindsey, Jamie Lindsey, Daniel Billings, Eric Billings, Chris Billings, and Rhonda Crocker; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Banister of Anderson, SC. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Teresa Billings; sister, Ethel Baldwin; and aunt, Louise Billings, who raised him after his parents died. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, January 15, 2016, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 2153 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Buffalo, SC 29321, by the Rev. Shannon Faulkner. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
