Ashley Gentry Atkins

Ashley Gentry Atkins, age 37, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away on October 7, 2023. She was born on September 10, 1986, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Charles and Katherine Gentry. She was a member of the Broome High School Class of 2004.

Ashley was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a blessing to all who knew her. Her warm and caring personality touched the hearts of those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Derek Atkins; her daughter, Layla Atkins; her parents, Charles and Katherine Gentry; her grandparents, Nettie Gentry and Elizabeth Mitchell; her sisters, Amber and Charley Gentry; her nieces and nephew, Ryleigh Gentry, Savannah Carroll, and Luke Carroll.

Ashley was preceded in death by her daughter, Amariah Gentry; and her grandfathers, Scott Gentry and James Mitchell.

A memorial service to celebrate Ashley's life will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 4:00 pm at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, South Carolina 29307. Visitation will follow the service.
