Arthur Nord

Arthur A. Nord, 88, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, March 28, 2009. Born August 2, 1920, in Minneapolis, MN, he was the son of the late Gust Oscar Nord and Selma Nord Skinner and husband of the late Janet Eide Nord. He was a quality assurance manager with Torrington Corporation and was instrumental in the initial set up of the Tyger River Plant of Torrington Corporation in Union. Survivors include five children, Judith Wilbur of Sacramento, CA, Ardys Morgan of South Bend, IN, Arthur Nord, Jr. of King of Prussia, PA, Susan Collier of Rock Hill, SC, and Scott Nord of Holly, MI; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Duggan, Elizabeth Lamoreux, Matthew Morgan, Sarah Nord, Jeremy Collier, Alicia Johnson, and Annika Nord; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanne Lewis of Sarasota, FL.
