Arline Mason

Arline “Red” Mason, 90, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at White Oak Estates. Born May 18, 1932 in Inman, SC, he was the son of the late Homer Kadell and Florence Collins Mason and the husband of the late Alberta Blackwell Mason for 50 years.

A U.S. National Guard veteran, Mr. Mason was retired from Startex Mills after serving many years of service. Red was a Mason and was a member of the Arcadia Lodge # 285. Red loved to sell items at The Thunderbird Flea Market. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his siblings, Jack Mason (Faye) of Pacolet, SC, Earline Mason and Evelyn Parton, both of Spartanburg, SC; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Clyde Mason; and sister-in-law, Barbara Mason.

A Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Tommy Bryant. Visitation will follow the service.
