Annie Waltrip

Annie Lou Cantrell Waltrip, 91, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, March 9, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born October 31, 1923, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Emma Silvers Cantrell and wife of the late Robert Edward Waltrip. Mrs. Waltrip was a member of Converse Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Lanny Waltrip and Jerry Waltrip (Karen); sister, Geneva King; grandchildren, Leslie Waltrip Parker, Justin Waltrip and Alex Parker all of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by two sisters, Della Helderman and Vera Seay, and a brother, Charles Cantrell. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Kevin Loftis. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Memorials may be made to Converse Baptist Church, PO Box 159, Converse, SC 29329.
