Annie Ruth Ross of Spartanburg, SC, peacefully entered into eternal rest on August 11, 2013 at the age of ninety. Annie Ruth was born on October 23, 1922 in Thomson, GA to the late Delvin and Mattie Kennedy. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Annie Ruth was well known for her ceramics and for having the best yard to play in! She was active in her community and was loved by many friends and neighbors. She is survived by her two sons Hal Ross (Nancy) and Tommy Ross (Diana) both of Charleston and her granddaughter Temple Florip (Erik) of Ocenside, CA and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold Ross, Jr. The Ross family wishes to thank the caring staff at Ashley River Plantation and Southern Care Hospice of Charleston. Inurnment will be held graveside at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC on Saturday, September 7 at 11am.
