Annie Mcabee

Annie Ruth Seay McAbee, 84, of Boiling Springs, died Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born February 16, 1932 in Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Mildred Beatrice Northern Seay. A 1950 graduate of Spartanburg High School, Mrs. McAbee was a longtime employee of Spartanburg Sportsware and later retired from Arrow Automotive after 21 years of service. She loved her Lord, family, working in her yard and was an accomplished seamstress. Mrs. McAbee was a member of Boiling Spring First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, who after growing up together, were married for 66 years, Charles Ray McAbee; daughter, Carmella M. Hedrick (Tim) of Albemarle, NC; son, Hansel McAbee (Kim) of Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, Jason Hedrick (Nicole Sarrocco), Samarah, Briannah, and Eleah McAbee; great-grandchildren, Linus Hedrick and Veronica Markey; sister, Doris Brock of Wellford, SC and brother, Robert Seay of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, A. V., Henry, Ray and William Edward Seay. Visitation will be held 9:30 - 10:45 AM Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, with services following at 11:00 AM conducted by the Rev. Dr. Hank Williams and the Rev. Bobby Lindsey. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Honorary escorts will be the Hardee's Breakfast Bunch and the Sanctuary Class.
