Annie Williams

Annie Bess Ladd Williams, 88, died Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born September 12, 1923, in Fairfield County, Blair, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Albert Ladd, Sr. and Helen Coleman Ladd and was married for 57 years to the late Henry Lucien Williams. Mrs. Williams was a longtime employee at Seibels, Bruce & Co. in Columbia, SC and retired from Spartan Mills in Spartanburg. She was a faithful member of Morningside Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Helen W. Robinson and husband Danny of Boiling Springs, SC; a son, Henry L. Williams, Jr. and wife Carole of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Anna and Luke Robinson and Charles and David Williams; a sister-in-law, Dot Ladd of Blair, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Tuesday, October 11, 2011, in the Welcome Center at Morningside Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
