Annie Ruth George

Annie Ruth Reid George, 93, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Bayberry Retirement Inn, Greer. A native of Spartanburg, she was born on January 21, 1930, a daughter of the late Edward Otto and Mary Babb Reid and the wife of 65 years to the late Fred David George. 

She retired from Lyman Printing and Finishing Company, a member of Powell Presbyterian Church and loved to cook for others.

She is survived by her sons, Randy George (Brenda) of Moore and Dave George (Shelly) of Wellford; grandchildren, Scott George, Brian George, Kyle George, and Kellie George; great grandchildren, Blaise, Maveric, Addie, Aiden, Austin, Adalind and Wroxton and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Aaron George, and brothers, Eugene Reid and James (Bud) Reid. 

Visitation will be from 12 to 12:45 pm Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. David Ervin. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
