Annie Foster

Annie Mae Smith Foster, 92, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at her home. Born September 24, 1921 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late George Barney and Helen Sprinkle Smith and widow of Wilbur Lester Foster. Survivors include her children, Dennis Foster of Ballground, GA, George Foster, Ann Newman and Doug Foster all of Spartanburg; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Sylvia Gowan. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 PM, on Friday, August 15, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with funeral services at 2:00 PM in the Chapel conducted by Rev. Stephen Boyce. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Special Olympics Area 12, PO Box 214, Moore, SC 29369. The family is at the home.
