Annie Dodson

Annie Laura Dodson, 77, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born June 18, 1938, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Walker Chapman and Callie Holliday Chapman and widow of Franklin Coy Dodson. Mrs. Dodson was a seamstress and homemaker. She adored her great-grandchildren, and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with neighbors. Survivors include her children, Mike Dodson (Susan) of Simpsonville, SC, Don Dodson (Rhonda) of Boiling Springs, SC, and Chris Dodson of Chester, SC; grandchildren, Cheryl Dodson Walls (Jason) of Liberty, SC and Stephanie Dodson Bridges (Brannon) of Anderson, SC; great-grandchildren, Cameron Walls, Lily Walls, and Lucas Bridges; and brothers, Bill Chapman (Doris) and Jim Chapman (Joyce), both of Easley, SC. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 PM Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. A private graveside service will be conducted in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, by the Rev. Dr. Keith Taylor. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Foundation-Diabetes Unit, 101 East Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at their respective homes.
