Annie Blackwood

Mrs. Annie Brymer Blackwood, 101, formerly of Spartanburg, widow of Carl Odell Blackwood, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012, in Conway, SC. Mrs. Blackwood was born in Gastonia, NC, May 28, 1910, the daughter of the late Cora Helton and Luther Brymer. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Lake Greenwood, SC. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Juanita Williams of Lake Greenwood; four grandchildren, Richard H. Blackwood of Boiling Springs, Diane Millwood of Chesnee, Debbie Martin of Spartanburg, and Carla Streit of Charlotte, NC; six great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Inez "Aunt Dude" Dalton of Chesnee. Mrs. Blackwood was predeceased by a daughter, Norma Streit; a son, Howard Franklin "Sonny" Blackwood; and a grandson, Charles "Chucky" Streit Jr. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 26, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
