Anneliese Volk

Anneliese “Oma” Fick Volk, 85, of Inman, SC, died Monday, March 28, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 14, 1936 in Oberschwarzach, Germany, she was the daughter of the late George and Marie Fick.

Anneliese was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the German American Club. She loved gardening, dancing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Gabriel Max Volk, their sons, Rick Volk (April) of Inman, SC and Tom Volk (Jennifer) of Atlanta, GA, grandchildren, Bailey, Bradley, Kyle, Caitlin, Zoey, Claire, Nicole and Kade, and her sister, Rita Götz of Buch, Germany. She was predeceased by a son, Herbert Max Volk, a brother and two sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Friday, April 1, 2022 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic (Historical) Church, 161 North Dean Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Building Fund.
