Anne Pickel

Mrs. Anne Pickel, 85, of 202 Thornwell Court, Roebuck, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 25, 1928, in Pelzer, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Laughlin and Florence Irene Dunlap Vaughan. She was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Pacolet, SC. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, William W. "Bill" Pickel; daughters, Teresa Freeman of Pauline, Cynthia Glenn of Easley, and Becky Lovin and her special friend, Mike Hill, of Spartanburg; a son, Rev. Bill Pickel and wife Fran of Pacolet; eight grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister. Visitation will be 1:30-3:15 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Calvary Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 PM at the church, conducted by the Rev. Bill Pickel.
