Anne Metcalf

Anne Robinson Metcalf, 77, died at Spartanburg Medical Center on July 3, 2015. She was the widow of Leonard Clyde Metcalf. Her late parents were E. C. Robinson, Jr. and Ethel Robinson. Anne was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the H. F. Chrietzberg Sunday School Class. Formerly employed by School District 7 at Evans Junior High School and Spartanburg High School, she was retired from South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind where she served as Director of Library-Media Services and Manager of Captioned Films for the deaf Depository for the State of South Carolina. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy M. Herring and son-in-law, David B. Herring; one grandson, Adam D. Herring and his wife, Lauren F. Herring of Atlanta, GA; a granddaughter, Caitlin Caroline Herring of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Arlene R. Belue (Jim) of Okeechobee, Fl. and Cathy R. McKinney (Ed) of Charlotte, NC; and one brother, E.C. Robinson, III of Southington, CT. Visitation will be 10:00 - 10:45 AM Monday, July 6, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM at the Chapel, by the Rev. David Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Honorary escort will be the H.F. Chrietzberg Sunday School Class.
