Ann "Georgette" Karam, 70, of Spartanburg, died Friday March 11, 2011 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born June 21, 1940, in Gaza, Palestine, she was the daughter of the late Jamil and Sophie Manier Karam. She worked for Simpsonville and Mayfair Mills and was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Diana Fleifel and husband Johnny of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Jacklin Fleifel and Victor Fleifel; three sisters, Mary Awad of Simpsonville, Mattie Vaughn of Mauldin, and Elizabeth Edge of Charleston. She was predeceased by a brother, Tony Karam. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, March 14, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, conducted by the Rev. Timothy M. Gahan. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Building Fund, 161 North Dean Street, Spartanburg, Sc 29302. The family is at the home of the daughter, Diana Fleifel.
