Ann Connolly

Elizabeth Ann Connolly, 61, of Spartanburg, went home to Our Lord on Friday, April 24, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 2, 1947, in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of James T. and Jewel Smith Shotwell of Spartanburg and the wife of Arthur F. Connolly for more than 42 happy years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg since 1970, a Sunday School teacher since 1975, and served on Ladies First Thursday committees. She was Hospitality Coordinator for the Franklin Graham Festival 2001 and a Carolina Pregnancy Center volunteer. Surviving in addition to her parents and husband are two sons, Artie Connolly, his wife Patricia, and their children, Madeline and Anna Grace, and Andy Connolly and his wife Mindy, all of Spartanburg; a daughter, Amy Ramella, her husband Ron, and their children, Jacob and Isaac of Inman; and a sister, Edith Reeves of Charleston. She was predeceased by a brother, Jim Shotwell; and a sister, Jewel Lane. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, at the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg conducted by the Rev. Dr. Donald J. Wilton, the Rev. Sam Davis, and the Rev. Sal Barone. Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Student Ministry, 250 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306; or to Carolina Pregnancy Center, P. O.
