Ann Jacobs Baird, 83, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at White Oak Estates. Born June 29, 1928, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of John C. and Edith Atkins Mooneyham. She was first married to the late Charles Jacobs, DDS, and then to the late William G. Baird, Jr. Mrs. Baird was a graduate of Wesleyan Conservatory, with a degree in Music Education and Psychology, and received her Masters Degree in Psychology from Emory University. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for 45 years. She was also a member and four-time past president of Forest Hills Garden Club, State Governor of OptiMrs., Spartanburg Music Club, president of Aoleon Music Club, Board Member of Spartanburg Garden Club Council, named Woman of the Year in 2006 for Spartanburg Garden Club Council, Inc., president of Visiting Nurses Board, president of Junior League, choir director and organist at St. Paul Methodist Church, youth choir director and organist at Bethel United Methodist Church, secretary of Dental Wives Auxiliary, and served on numerous other boards. Survivors include her grandchildren, Rachel Clark and husband Steven, Jason Hill, and Jacob Hicks and wife Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Katherine, Mary Grace, Anna, Corrine, Madison, and Sam; and stepson, Richard Baird and his wife Victoria. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by her children, Linda Jacobs Hill and Katherine Jacobs Hicks; grandchild, Kendall Hill; and sister, Edith Mooneyham. Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 PM Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David E. Nichols, the Rev. David B. Smith, and the Rev. Dr. Charles A. Graves. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 245 S.
