Anita "Ann" Cox

Ann Cantrell Cox, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, passed Friday, February 11, 2022. Born June 4, 1941 in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Edna McSwain Cantrell.

Ann was retired from Cox House Moving. She was a member of First North Spartanburg. She loved painting, gardening, genealogy and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Jill Norman (Brian) of Greenville, SC; her son, James Monroe “Bruno” Cox, Jr. (Jodi) of Spartanburg, SC; her grandchildren, Calli Cox, Carson Cox, Brody Cox, Brian Norman, Jr., Alex Norman; her siblings, Jerry Cantrell, Carolyn Massey, and Cindy Fowler. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Cassidy Cox, a sister, Janice Kimbrell, and her former husband, James Monroe “Jim” Cox, Sr.

A Graveside service will be 4:00 PM Monday, February 14, 2022 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Gene Pace. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
