Anita S. Tam, 65, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born August 2, 1947, in China, she was the wife, for 43 years, of Alan Tam of Spartanburg, SC, and daughter of the late Hip-Lung Tang and Kit-Hing Chan. Sitting at the helm of New China Restaurant from May 1974 to July 2000, Anita greeted friends and family with her warm smile and laughter. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Johnny Tam and his wife Cindy of Marietta, GA, and Andy Tam of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, To Kam Tang of Hong Kong and Atlas Siu-Kam Tang of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; brothers, Kuen-Shing Tang, Sun-Shing Tang, Po-Shing Tang, Tim-Sing Tang, Hung-Shing Tang, Kam-Shing Tang, all of Hong Kong, and Hon-Shing Tang of Spartanburg, SC, and their respective families; grandson, Julian Z. Tam of Marietta, GA; and brother-in-law, Kwing Lau Tam and his wife Oi-Ho Tam of Spartanburg, SC, and their families. Visitation will be 11:30-12:30 PM Friday, February 8, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel.
