Angelina Painter Fowler, 93, of Belmont, NC, formerly of Spartanburg, SC, went to her heavenly home peacefully surrounded by her family, April 22, 2015. Born February 7, 1922, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Leonard and Jessie Kennett Painter, and the beloved wife for 52 years of the late Richard Lane Fowler. Mrs. Fowler was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church, but also attended Fairforest Baptist Church of Spartanburg and South Point Baptist Church of Belmont for many years with her family. A graduate of Spartanburg High School, she was a loving and devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Survivors include a son, Richard S. Fowler and his wife, Vivia of Macon, Georgia; two daughters, Angela F. Prince of Midland, NC, and Pamela F. Hilton and her husband, Jimmy, of Belmont, NC; grandchildren, Stephen Fowler and his wife, Stani, of Johns Island, SC, Lauren Hilton of Charlotte, NC, Lance Hilton and his wife, Kristin of Charlotte, NC, and Claire Fowler of Savannah, GA; one niece, Angelina Eschauzier and her husband, Henri of Spartanburg, SC. A private family service and burial will be observed on Monday, May 11, 2015, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, SC.
