Angela Smith

Angela "Angie" Bogan Smith, 53, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, May 15, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born February 6, 1964, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of James Carter Bogan, Sr. and Marcia Bragg Bogan of Spartanburg, SC. Angie loved her family, church, camping, fishing, and helping her friends. A graduate of Bob Jones Academy, she received her Associates Degree from Spartanburg Tech and retired from Gibbs Cancer Center. She was also a former phlebotomy teacher at Spartanburg Tech and a member of Gateway Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, SC. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Christopher Keith Smith; children: Seth Edge (Krislyn), Abby Owens (Jason), Kelli Smith, Ashley Smith, Cam Smith (Kelly), and Christopher Smith, all of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren: Journey, Letty, Hadleigh, Zack, Nick, Hayleigh, Brie, Nate, Ryliegh, and Jordan; great-grandson, Westyn; and brother, James C. Bogan, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, May 19, 2017, at Gateway Baptist Church, 1600 Old Furnace Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 21316, by the Rev. David Shelton, the Rev. Tim Ramsey, Dr. Charles Kenya, and Mr. James Bogan, Jr. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
