Angela Bullman

Angela "Polly" Swofford Bullman, 67, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, January 19, 2015, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 5, 1947, in Cowpens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Thomas Swofford and Ruth Sumner Swofford. Polly was retired from Progess Lighting and Hoke Industries. She was a member of Croft Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, adult choir member, and president of the Joy Club. A free spirit who loved the beach and all outdoors, she was a devout Christian who was very dedicated to her church and family. Surviving are her loving husband, George H. Bullman; step-daughter, Allison Johnson of Spartanburg; grandsons, Matthew Bullman of Kentucky and Chase Johnson of Taylors, SC; sisters, Frances Berry, Peggy Robinson, and Joyce Swofford, all of Spartanburg, and Nancy Richards (Bruce) of Colorado Springs, CO; and a large number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Joe Swofford. The family and church will host visitation 1:45-2:45 PM Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Croft Baptist Church sanctuary. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with the Rev. Joe Dempsey officiating. Burial will be private.
