Andrew Sikes

George Andrew �½Andy�½ Sikes, 28, of 3285 South Church Street Ext., died Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at his home. Born April 21, 1981, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Howard Brady Sikes, Jr. and Donna Flynn Sikes of the home. He was a 1999 graduate of Dorman High School and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Andy had a passion for cooking and the privileges afforded the cook. He enjoyed music, sports, reading and writing poetry, debating any issues, and spending time with his loving family, especially his niece, Kaitlynn. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys and Clemson Tigers fan. Surviving in addition to his parents is his twin brother, Mitch Sikes and his wife Amanda, a niece, Kaitlynn Michelle Sikes, a nephew, Bricen Mitchell Sikes, aunts and uncles, Lynn and Jim Flynn, and Joyce and Ron Dorsey, numerous cousins, and many great friends, all of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009, in the Sanctuary of Bethlehem Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. James L. Oliver and the Rev. Joe Burnett. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, P. O. Box 229, Roebuck, SC 29376. The family is at the home.
