Alvin Martin Jr.

Alvin E. Martin Jr., 84, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Skylyn Nursing and Rehab-Spartanburg. Born October 17, 1933, in Anniston, AL, he was the son of the late Alvin E. Martin Sr. and Della Ledbetter Martin. A U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Martin retired as owner/operator of Satisfaction Appliance Center of Laurens. He was a member of Center Point Presbyterian Church and Gideon's International. Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Breta Bea Myers Martin; and sister-in-law, Wanda Owensby of Pigeon Forge, TN. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center Point Presbyterian Church for future improvements, 1119 Center Point Road, Moore, SC 29369.
