Allyson Nix

Allyson Bilton Nix, 37, of Inman, died Monday, September 24, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 30, 1975, in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of Larry Allan and Joan Barnes Bilton of Spartanburg. Allyson was formerly employed with Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, was 911 certified, and had an Associates Degree in Medical Administration. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church where she volunteered with different activities, was a member of the United Methodist Women, and was always ready to assist when asked. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Charlton Bilton and wife Pamela of Rock Hill, SC; maternal grandmother, Doris Barnes of Charleston, SC; nieces, Hannah and Rylee Bilton; goddaughter, Sophia Fofana of Inman, SC; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her beloved pet and companion, Molly. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, George Barnes; and paternal grandparents, S. W. and Annie Ruth Bilton. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Central United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Alex Stevenson and the Rev. Karen H. L. Jones. Visitation will follow the service in the church Social Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church Youth Group, 233 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
