Allison Smith

Allison Motts Smith, 32, of 708 Silkwood Court, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born February 14, 1977, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of Roy Eugene (Gene) Motts of Chesnee and Brenda Jackson Motts of Boiling Springs. She was a Human Resources Manager at Blockbuster's Corporate Office and of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to her parents is a daughter, Chelsi Smith of the home; two brothers, David Motts of Boiling Springs, and Jeff Motts; her soulmate, Shandon Smith of Boiling Springs; maternal grandmother, Edith Jackson of Pauline; and paternal grandmother, Athleen Owens of Pacolet. She was loved by a special cousin, Tonya Burgess Ormand. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by the Rev. Dennis Tessnier. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation of SC, Inc., 500 Taylor Street, Suite 101, Columbia, SC 29201. The family is at the home of her mother and brother, 236 Silverbell Drive, Boiling Springs.
