Allie Putman

Allie H. Putman, 93, of Cowpens, SC, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Peachtree Center, Gaffney, SC. Born October 28, 1922, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late, William Andrew and Dorothy Cash Henderson, and wife of the late Edward H. "Josh" Putman. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Cowpens, SC. Survivors include her son, Mitchell Putman (Terri); granddaughter, Susan Jolly (Dennis); great-grandchildren, Grayson Jolly and Caroline Jolly all of Cowpens, SC; brother, Detroy Henderson (Revis) of Forest City, NC; sister, Murlene Ridings of Boiling Springs, SC and best friend, Naomi Childress. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, August 12, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Central Baptist Church of Cowpens, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Jason A. Metcalf and the Rev. Allen Blanton. Burial will be in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, SC 29330. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church Children's Ministry, 126 E. Church St., Cowpens, SC 29330. The family is at the home of her son, Mitchell Putman.
