Heaven gained another angel on January 13, 2021. Allen Ernest "Doc" Livingston, age 77, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Allen graduated from Byrnes High School and attended Wofford College. He grew up in the Holly Springs community and finally settled in the Boiling Springs and Cooley Springs communities where he and several others were instrumental in bringing city water to the Cooley Springs and Little Africa communities. Along with his Naval comrades he proudly served on the USS Bryce Canyon during the Vietnam War where he gained the nickname "Doc". Allen has been a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church since 1975 where he served in many capacities. He is also a member of Gideon's International. Allen loved talking to people about his Lord and Savior, whether it be at church, in business or out in the community. He was adamant about wanting people to know the Savior's love and giving them the opportunity to also know Him. Allen never met a stranger and was liked by all and will be remembered not only for his love of the Lord, the love he had for his family, his infectious smile and his blue eyes. In his early years he began his engineering career with J. W. Lewis, Inc. He went on to own his own company, Technical Fabricators Inc. (TFI) along with his business partner Andy Sulewski. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burrell Clayton Livingston, Sr. and Thelma Nancy Jane Atkins Livingston. Allen is survived by his wife, the true love of his life and best friend, Evelyn Pack Livingston, who he lovingly called "P"; his children, Ashley Livingston Corbin of Boiling Springs, David Livingston (Carol) of Charlotte, NC, Robyn Cenizal of Jacksonville, FL, and Michael Livingston (Lisa) of Charleston, SC. He was also survived by six grandchildren, Cameron Davis Corbin (Jordan), Tylor Corbin Theng (Aaron), William Livingston, Roman Cenizal, Kristen Livingston and Eric Livingston; one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Grace Corbin and one on the way (Baby Theng); a brother, Clayton Livingston (Judy) and a sister, Jane Waddell. The family would like to thank his gracious caregivers through the past twenty-five years for their love and care they have shown to Allen: Ashley Corbin, Tylor Theng, Carla Coupe, Tiffany Johnson, Amy Rhodes, Rachel Raber, Katlin Robbins and Holly Pearson. Also we would like to thank ComForCare and their original owner, Mr. Terry Reubert. No service is planned at this time. Families are at their respective homes and any services will be private. No flowers please. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Allen's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Gideons International Processing Center, PO Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.
