Alice Parker

Alice O'Shields Parker, 84, of 2720 Country Club Road, died Monday, March 29, 2010, at Park Place Assisting Living. Born January 10, 1926, in the Nesbitt community of Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wallace M. and Annie Myrtle Adair O'Shields. A valedictorian graduate of Pauline High School, she was retired from Piedmont Natural Gas after many years of service. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Hester O. Farmer of Pauline; and a brother, Donald E. O'Shields of Roebuck. She was predeceased by a son, Donnis Ray Parker; and brothers, Lester, Herbert, Lloyd, Wylie, and Earl O'Shields. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Friendship Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Brian Harris and the Rev. Jimmy Farmer. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 830 Friendship Road, Pauline, SC 29374. The family is at their respective homes.
