Alice Lancaster

Alice Charles Lancaster, 92, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Sterling House of Harbison. Born September 30, 1924 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Grady and Christine Hendricson. She was the widow of Paul Cecil Lancaster. Alice was a sales clerk for Aug. W. Smith department store. She was a member of United Baptist Church, formerly Hayne Baptist Church. Survivors include a grandson, Kenny Lancaster (Beth) of Irmo, SC; great grandchildren, Rachel Hursey, Jana Lancaster, and Tyler Lancaster; and a great-great grandson, Kenneth Christopher Hursey; brother, Lonnie Mack Charles of Spartanburg, SC; and sister, Mary Banks of Columbia, SC. Along with her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her son, F. Kenneth "Ken" Lancaster; and a brother, George Edward Taylor. Visitation will be 11:00 - 11:45 AM Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon at the chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
