Alice Irvin

Alice Marie LeBuhn Irvin, 81, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, December 19, 2016, at The J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home in Newberry, SC. Born February 4, 1935, in LeClaire, IA, she was the daughter of the late Henry Coleman and Marie Annette Long LeBuhn and widow of Rev. Joel Lester Irvin. Mrs. Irvin was an excellent cook and loved her family. She attended Fairforest Church of God and enjoyed playing the organ in the ministry of her husband. In her younger years, she was also involved in her father's ministry, The LeBuhn Family Singers. Surviving are a son, Daniel Irvin (Clara) of Greenville, SC; three daughters, Debbie Laughridge (Joe) of Greenville, SC, Julie McCraven (Daniel) of Chester, SC, and Judy Reece (Mike) of Spartanburg, SC; granddaughter, Amber Nicole Irvin; grandson, Zachary Michael Laughridge; and brother, Rev. Vernon LeBuhn of Simpsonville, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters and one brother. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by her brother, The Rev. Vernon LeBuhn. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alice Irvin Memorial Fund c/o The J. F. Floyd Mortuary, PO Drawer 1530, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
