Alice Hendrix

Alice L. Hendrix, 90, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 2, 1920 in Donalds, SC, she was the daughter of the late James William and Marie Jones Richey and the wife of the late Naggie Woodrow Hendrix. She was retired from Raycord and also worked for S & S Manufacturing. She was a charter member of Bethany Baptist Church where she was a member of the Son-Shine Sunday School Class, a longtime choir member and taught Sunday School for over 50 years. Survivors include her son, Ronald Hendrix of Spartanburg; a half-brother, Robert Earl Richey; two granddaughters, Karen Parris and Angela Lydia, both of Campobello; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a daughter, Judy Marie Gray; a brother, Oren Richey; two sisters, Edna Hill and Mabel Crawford; a grandson, Stephen Gray; and a great-grandson, Kent Lee. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Herbert C.
