Alice Bamond

Alice Josephine Padgett Bamond, 68, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, September 24, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born January 16, 1941, in Beaufort, SC, she was the daughter of the late Harry Elijah and Lila Elizabeth Bennett Padgett. She was formerly employed at the Peach Blossom Motel and was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Michele Bamond of Woodruff; a son, Michael Bamond and his wife Angela of Spartanburg; a grandson, Joshua Bamond of Spartanburg; and two sisters, Ruby P. Wilson, and Karen P. Brown and her husband William, all of Boiling Springs. No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615. The family is at the home of her son, 254 Sloan's Grove Road, Spartanburg.
