Alice Bailey

Alice Durham Bailey, 63, of Arcadia, SC, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 17, 1949 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Bronson Durham, Sr., and Josie Ann Hilton Durham. She was a sales associate at J. C. Penny, a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church, and a graduate of Dorman High School Class of 1968. She spent her life taking care of others as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Surviving are her husband, Billy Robert Bailey, Jr.; sons, Brent (Ann Marie) Israel of Boiling Springs and Jason (Jeanette) Israel of Spartanburg; step-son, Billy Bailey III of Spartanburg; step-daughter, Shannon Gosnell of Pacolet; grandsons, Tanner, Nathan, Sam, and Ben Israel; and brothers, Dennis Gary (Paula) Durham of Tryon, NC, Larry (Karen) Durham of Spartanburg, and Ted E. Durham of Boiling Springs. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM March 25, 2013 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel by the Rev. Al Phillips. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted.
