Alfred Mckinley "Mac" Miles, Jr.

Alfred McKinley “Mac” Miles, Jr., 83, of Chesnee, SC passed away on September 26, 2022, at home. He was born February 14, 1939, in Spartanburg, SC to the late Alfred McKinley and Sarah McCulloch Miles.

Mac worked at Miles Electric and opened Robo Car Wash in 1969. He was known as the “Scooter Man” and friends called him the “Mayor of Whitney”. Mac always had a joke to tell and a smile on his face. We love you to the moon and back, you will be truly missed by all.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Elizabeth A. “Bebe” Miles; son, Dr. Mark Miles (Tammy); daughter, Sherrie Burdick; grandchildren, Amelia Miles, Isabel Miles Johnson (Wynn),  Miles Burdick and Sam Burdick; Papa’s little helper, Willow; beloved bonus family, Will Bailey (Amy), and Elizabeth Boyd; sister, Sarah Parlor; brother, Conway Miles; and many nieces and nephews who love their Uncle Mac. He was predeceased by a son, Alfred McKinley “Chip” Miles III and a granddaughter, Alexa McKinley Miles.

Visitation will be 10:30 – 11:30 AM on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 noon, conducted by The Rev. David F. Ervin.
