Aletha Crawford

Aletha Minerva Millwood Crawford, 93, of Pacolet, SC, died Sunday, January 17, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born September 15, 1922, in Pacolet Mills, SC, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Rhoda Leight Loving Millwood and widow of Charles M. Crawford. Mrs. Crawford retired from Pacolet Manufacturing Company after many years of loyal service. She was a member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Survivors include her nephew, Michael Burgess of New Orleans, LA; and nieces, Deborah Graham and Billie Jean Walls, both of Nashville, TN, and Vettie Crocker of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Corrine Burgess; and brother, William Carl Millwood. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Norman L. Band. Burial will be in Pacolet Methodist Cemetery, Hillbrook Circle, Pacolet, SC 29372.
