Alberta Garrett

Alberta D. Garrett, 93, of Gaffney, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Gaffney Medical Center. Born May 23, 1921, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Miller and Sally McKinney. She was predeceased by her spouses, Charles Leroy Dunagin and John L. Garrett. Mrs. Garrett worked in textiles and was retired from Hoechst-Celenese. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Harold Dunagin, Keith Dunagin, and Earl Dunagin, all of Spartanburg, SC; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by six sisters and a son, Terry Wayne Dunagin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 200 Sloans Grove Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, with the Rev. Rich Lancaster and Mr. Roy Gardener officiating. Visitation will follow. The family will be at their respective homes. The J. F.
