Albert Kalina

Albert Donald Kalina, 78, of 137 Chapel Court, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Born October 30, 1931, in Friend, NE, he was the son of the late Joseph and Edna Peterson Kalina. He was retired from Michelin and the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Justice Kalina; a daughter, Marie Moore, and a son, Allen Kalina, both of Spartanburg; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two daughters, Nancy Smith and Sharon Sellars; and a son, David Kalina. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010, in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Rupert Guest.
